STORY

Kristen Abear, owner and founder of Saldare, is one of the first permanent jewelers in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She started Saldare while running her first business, Royal Bear Designs, a custom jewelry service, wanting to expand into the untapped market of permanent jewelry in the Hills.

For Kristen, permanent jewelry is about the connection – of jewelry, moments, and people. Working together, Kristen and I focused on the intangible values of the permanent jewelry experience, and we wanted to lead the conversation of her brand with those memorable aspects.

As metal bonds together, it’s a symbolic representation of individuals bonding as well. Whether it’s a mother and daughter, a group of friends, or spouses, these pieces of jewelry remind us that there’s nothing stronger than the bond of friendship and love.

In tandem with connection, Kristen’s vision for Saldare is to empower other female entrepreneurs to live the life they’ve always dreamed and to pursue their ambitions. A voice for women, Kristen aims to gather like-minded females to take the reigns on their life and take those leaps of faith.
