MARQUIS & MINE

Fresh out of college in 2014, Kalee Marquis jumped into an internship with an event planner that solidified her passion for wedding planning. She then spent the next four years as a wedding coordinator/general manager of a wedding venue in Farmington, CT where her knowledge of weddings and all that they entail grew exponentially.

In 2020, KM Events was born out of a desire to bring her passion to couples all throughout New England and beyond. In 2023, Kalee reached out to me with her dreams and goals for her business. As all business owners do, Kalee wanted to grow, but she also wanted to make an impression. She was looking to rebrand and solidify her identity within the wedding planning space, and have a brand that reflected her value and poise as a professional.

The name “KM Events” wasn’t holding its weight for the brand itself, and Kalee had her eyes set on renaming. During our brand naming session, Kalee brought the perfect name to the table — “Marquis & Mine”. Not only was her own name still a part of the brand name, but the brand is about who she serves, thus making “& Mine” instantly personal and inviting. We were absolutely stoked on this name change!!

From there we focused on her brand voice and messaging. As Kalee walked me through her industry, she emphasized her audience’s pain points during their wedding planning journey. Stress was the key struggle for couples while planning a wedding, so we wanted Marquis & Mine’s voice and messaging to address that pain point as early as possible. Kalee invites a collaborative conversation to help ease those stressful worries for her couples, and so we focused on approachable, empathetic verbiage on all fronts.

Marquis & Mine is a sophisticated, warm brand that simultaneously embodies professionalism and comfort. Kalee’s journey is far from over, and with her new confidence in her brand, there’s nothing but continued success in her future.
