AMERICAN ADVERTISING AWARDS

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has different chapters in many different regions throughout the United States. Here in Western South Dakota, our chapter is AAF of the Black Hills.

Every year we, like many other chapters, host a prestigious awards gala to acknowledge and award creative teams, solo creatives/studios, agencies, and anyone within the marketing industry here in the Black Hills. Anyone who had worked on some piece of marketing or advertising material, whether it be a commercial, digital campaigns, or printed work, can enter their project in for a chance to be awarded for an Addy award.

These awards can help winners get a chance to be seen at the national awards ceremony, where the best of the best of all regions come together to gain more recognition for their work.

This year, as a board member of the AAF of the Black Hills, I was tasked with rebranding the gala, and to create something luxury yet approachable. The entire identity is a high-end take on the iconic nature here in the Black Hills. From the forested color palette to the hand-drawn illustrations, every element has the essence of the Hills at a luxe level.
